Travis and Jason Kelce on how he deals they ‘cruel remarks’ from fans

During their most recent episode of their New Heights podcast, guest Lil Dicky brought up how ‘crazy’ it was that athletes were called “weak-hearted,” and how it was normalized for them to receive heckles from fans in the audiences during losses.

“People say all sorts of things when they’re mad,” Jason Kelce responded. “Players get wrapped up in what’s being said now. This is just the moment, this is just what the fans are saying now because they’re p*****.

“Just go out there, play your balls off, and show them that you care. If you don’t win, they’re still going to probably hate you and think that you suck, but they’ll at least respect you.”

Agreeing, the Chiefs star said: “The guys that do it the right way, they’re idolized for a reason because you see the competitiveness, you see the heart, you see the passion. And in those moments, you see them able to persevere, to come out on top.

“That’s the beauty of sports, there’s a winner and a loser and that’s why everyone watches it,” although the eldest Kelce brother did admit that sometimes fans “cross the line”.
