Crouch shares his honest opinion on Chris Wood’s ability amid his impressive form

Wood found the back of the net again on the weekend at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium to bring Forest level after Murillo‘s own goal.

The goal against Spurs marked Wood’s fourth consecutive Premier League game having found the back of the net.

However, the 32-year-old will feel he should have walked away with a brace after striking the post from close range.

Despite the miss, Wood has been one of the real bright sparks in this Nuno side with the likes of Morgan Gibbs-White also receiving a lot of praise in recent weeks.

But speaking on That Peter Crouch Podcast, the former England striker has revealed what he actually thinks about his former teammate, Wood.

“I played with Chris Wood you know. I always said he’s a good finisher. He had a difficult time at Newcastle but I played with him at Burnley and he’s a good player. Really good player,” he said.
