‘Tough game’: Rio Ferdinand has predicted the result of Everton vs Liverpool in two weeks

Jurgen Klopp only has a few games left as the manager of Liverpool.

The German is leaving Anfield at the end of the season, and with just seven league matches to go, he could well help the Reds to a league title on his way out.

However, there are still a number of hurdles to clear before the end of the campaign, and perhaps the toughest match the Reds still have to play is the Merseyside Derby.

Liverpool head to Goodison Park in a couple of weeks’ time, and, as we all know, anything can happen in those derby matches.

Speaking to TNT Sports, Rio Ferdinand has now predicted the result of this game in a couple of weeks.

Rio Ferdinand predicts Everton vs Liverpool

The pundit shared his verdict on how this game will go.

“Oh a tough game, Everton need points, Dyche, but Liverpool do well in that game. I’m going to go 1-1 again,” Ferdinand said.

The biggest Merseyside derby for a long time

This could well be the biggest Merseyside Derby of the modern era.

Liverpool are gunning for the Premier League title and Everton are desperately trying to stave off relegation.

Both teams really can’t afford to lose this game, and it may well lead to an intriguing tactical battle between two managers who are at polar opposite ends of the footballing spectrum.

Will Sean Dyche be able to frustrate Jurgen Klopp’s Liverpool at Goodison Park? Potentially.

Not only is this Klopp’s last Merseyside Derby, it could end up being the last Merseyside Derby ever played at Goodison Park depending on if Everton are relegated this season and play next term in the second-tier.

This will be one of Liverpool’s toughest tests between now and the end of the campaign, and if Ferdinand’s prediction rings true, a draw will not be good enough at this point of the season.
