Report: West Ham make official £13 million bid for 23-year-old striker

West Ham United have apparently just lodged a bid to sign a striker ahead of the summer transfer window.

The fact that David Moyes has still not signed a long-term replacement for West Ham striker Michail Antonio is beyond a joke in all honesty.

The 34-year-old is so integral to Moyes’s system that you would have thought the Scot would have prioritised bringing in an Antonio clone.

However, he went down a different route with the signing of Gianluca Scamacca in 2022 – a move that completely failed, more so due to Moyes and his system rather than the Italian himself.

Now though, it is being claimed that the Hammers boss will prioritise a move to sign a striker who fits his system in the summer transfer window…if he is still in charge of the London Stadium of course!

And West Ham have apparently opened the bidding…

West Ham have made a £13 million bid for striker

The upcoming summer transfer window will be a vitally important one for the Hammers.

A big rebuild is needed at the London Stadium, with the addition of a top-class striker an absolute necessity.

And it seems as though West Ham could be set to bring in the perfect striker for us this summer…

Mohamed Amoura plays for Belgian side Union SG, and has bagged 22 goals and six assists in 40 games so far this season (Transfermarkt).

And now according to a report from Le Soir, the Hammers have made a £13 million bid for the 23-year-old centre-forward.

The 22-capped Algeria international possesses real pace, and is always willing to run the channels just like Antonio, but he is a far better finisher than the Jamaica international.

He can play as a left winger or even in the number 10 position as well if need be.

I would absolutely love him at the London Stadium.

However, Le Soir claims that West Ham will have to up our bid to £17 million if we are to have any chance of signing Amoura this summer.
