Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall shares what Leicester will do in final few games to get them over the line

Leicester City’s automatic promotion hopes are in jeopardy after suffering back-to-back defeats in the Championship.

Enzo Maresca‘s side lost 1-0 to relegation-threatened Plymouth Argyle last week, though, the title remains in their hands after Ipswich Town and Leeds United both failed to win, too.

Leicester’s talisman Kiernan Dewsbury-Hall attended the EFL Awards ceremony yesterday, which saw him and another teammate named in the Championship Team of the Season.

At the show, he was interviewed by talkSPORT and revealed all to the radio station in a laser-focused discussion.

Dewsbury-Hall was a nominee for the Championship Player of the Year but lost out to Leeds’ Crysencio Summerville.

Anyhow, there’s little doubt he’s been one of the best players in the division this term having led Leicester‘s title charge.

Though, in recent weeks, The Foxes have really dropped off in form and have lost six of their last 10 league games.

The academy graduate explained what’s gone wrong: “It’s hard to put your finger on it. At first, I have to say, every team, there is no easy game in this league at the moment.

“Yeah everyone will say we’re playing teams at the bottom but they’re fighting for their lives to stay in the division, it’s not like they’re going to whimper out in games but they’re fighting to stay in the division.”

The 25-year-old added: “So it’s a culmination of that, it’s a culmination of missing chances, it’s a lot of things and it’s a bit of frustration here and there.

“We know if we stick to the right things in games, eventually you get the rub of the green and get results, so that’s our mentality going into the final couple of games. Doing the right things and hoping that will be enough to get us over the line.”

Leicester City need a reaction from Plymouth Argyle disappointment

Leicester really have been let off the hook, as their automatic promotion rivals have failed to capitalise on their last two losses.

They must return to winning ways and show a real reaction against West Bromwich Albion on Saturday at King Power Stadium.

Maresca’s side need three wins from their remaining four games to mathematically secure automatic promotion.

That’d move them to 97 points, a tally Leeds and Southampton can’t attain.
