‘Impressive’: Theo Walcott says Arsenal have a player who’s been even better than Willam Saliba this season

Regardless of what happens over the next few weeks, this has been a season to remember for Arsenal.

There have been some amazing moments for the Gunners this term that will live long in the memory. The late win against Manchester United, the thrashing against West Ham and the penalty shootout victory against Porto were all incredible moments.

Arsenal may not win the league this season, but they have still been brilliant.

Speaking to TalkSPORT, Theo Walcott has been discussing Arsenal’s season, and he’s named who he thinks has been the standout players for the Gunners this term.

Theo Walcott’s standout player for Arsenal

Walcott gave a special mention to William Saliba, but ultimately he named Bukayo Saka as his standout player for the Gunners.

“Who for you has been the standout player for Arsenal so far this season.

“I’m going to be biased and go for a forward player. At the back they’ve been solid, Saliba was missed last year towards the end of the season. I scored against Arsenal for Southampton in the 3-3. I’m going to have to go Saka. I think Bukayo, his goal tally, his contributions have always been impressive. My kids love him like me,” Walcott said.

Bukayo Saka’s incredible season

It’s hard to disagree with what Walcott is saying here.

Arsenal have had a number of standout performers this year, but it’s hard to pinpoint a single player who has been as good as Bukayo Saka.

Once again, the winger has been Arsenal’s go-to man in the big moments, he’s delivered time and time again and he’s the first name on the teamsheet.

Arsenal are no longer in pole position to win the Premier League, but they could still triumph come the end of the season, and if they do, Saka will have played a massive part in the north London club’s success.
