‘I’m sure’: Cesc Fabregas has made a prediction about Arsenal in three years’ time

Arsenal look like they could be about to endure another trophyless season.

Indeed, despite how good the Gunners have been as of late, They might actually end the season without a single trophy.

They’re out of all of the cups, they’re eliminated from the Champions League and they have ground to make up in the title race.

Arsenal may finish this season without a trophy, and there’s been some suggestion that means this term has been a failure for the Gunners.

Speaking on the Planet Premier League Podcast, Cesc Fabregas has been speaking about Arsenal’s progress, and he reckons that this season can’t be considered a failure, claiming that he still expects the Gunners to be competing for every trophy in a few years’ time.

Arsenal will get there

Fabregas spoke about Arsenal and made a prediction for the Gunners three years from now.

“I don’t think Arsenal are at that stage yet. I love the way Arsenal have had the patience with Mikel and have brought the atmosphere back at the Emirates. I don’t think it can be a failure, it’s another step forward and in two or three years this team will be competing for everything, I’m sure,” Fabregas said.

Arsenal are just getting started

While it’s easy to get carried away and want instant gratification and success from this Arsenal team, we mustn’t forget that they’re only just getting started.

So many of the Gunners’ key players are, in reality, still kids.

Bukayo Saka, William Saliba and Gabriel Martinelli are all 23 or younger, while Kai Havertz is only 24 and Martin Odegaard and Declan Rice aren’t much older themselves.

This is a team that will grow together and improve as time goes on, and we wouldn’t be surprised at all if Fabregas’ prediction here rung true and Arsenal were the elite team in England in just a few years.
