National media outlet can't believe how Ange Postecoglou is treating £27m Tottenham player

An established national media outlet has now questioned how Ange Postecoglou is using one of his Tottenham players.

It has been a mixed season for Spurs.

The 2023/24 campaign began so emphatically as Tottenham embarked on a run of ten Premier League games unbeaten – winning eight.

Players such as Yves Bissouma and James Maddison were shining, although just ten Premier League victories have been secured since the end of October – the Telegraph even believe a summer clear out could happen.

One player who could depart is Giovani Lo Celso – and Argentinian news outlet Ole have now questioned Ange Postecoglou‘s treatment of the Tottenham No.18 this season…

Ange Postecoglou questioned for Giovani Lo Celso treatment

It is safe to say the South American organisation are not happy.

Ole firstly question how the £27.2m man is a vital player for Argentina – the reigning world champions – and express shock at the fact it is “a constant at Tottenham to see Lo Celso on the bench” under Postecoglou.

The Argentina international has only made four Premier League starts this season.

Ole add that Lo Celso “could clearly bring his quality” to the side if Postecoglou used him more often, having shown glimpses of what he can do with goals against Aston Villa and Manchester City just before 2024 began.

Argentina international wants to leave

Unsurprisingly, Lo Celso – who Postecoglou actually called a “fantastic” player recently – wants to leave Tottenham.

That is according to Estadio Deportivo.

Lo Celso will soon enter the final 12 months of his contract, and with his situation under Postecoglou taken into account, an exit seems almost certain to happen.

In fairness, we don’t blame the 28-year-old.

Lo Celso seems far better suited to Postecoglou’s style of play than the likes of Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg, for example, another player who could leave N17 this summer, so his constant exclusion baffles us.

We can only assume the man from Rosario is a poor trainer at Hotspur Way.

Whatever the reason, Lo Celso’s time at Tottenham certainly looks to be coming to an end.
