Motorcycle rider, passenger seriously hurt in crash with SUV

Two people riding a motorcycle were seriously injured after colliding with an SUV in Gloucester Township late Monday.

The pair was riding west on Woodbury Turnersville Road at 11 p.m. when the driver of the SUV tried to turn left into Northbrook Behavioral Health Hospital in front of the motorcycle, Gloucester Township police said.

Both people on the motorcycle were thrown off and severely injured, police said. They were brought to an area hospital. All of the occupants of the SUV declined to be treated.

“There were signs the driver of the motorcycle attempted to avoid the SUV, but was unable to avoid the crash,” police said in a statement.

No charges have been filed, though the crash remains under investigation.

Anyone with information is asked to call Gloucester Township police at 856-228-4500.
