Midfielder who Fabio Paratici recommend to Tottenham is now Ange Postecoglou’s priority target this summer

Tottenham Hotspur have now made a midfielder recommended by Fabio Paratici one of their priority targets this summer.

Despite being banned from football by FIFA, Fabio Paratici has remained as an advisory figure at Hotspur Way for the north London club.

Ange Postecoglou is going into the summer having seen his side improve on what he had inherited last year.

Tottenham have secured themselves Europa League football for the new season and with that is the need to bolster their squad with quality.

The midfield has been a major area of concern for Postecoglou with the Australian really struggling to nail down his best three players in the middle of the park.

However, it seems as if one of the potential targets recommended by Paratici is now climbing his way up the summer shortlist at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

Tottenham trusting Fabio Paratici’s judgement of Serie A market

After he was appointed as the club’s director of football, Paratici did not waste any time in raiding the Italian top flight.

Dejan Kulusevski, Cristian Romero, Rodrigo Bentancur and Destiny Udogie have all been brought in from Serie A since Paratici’s move to England.

And this summer could see Spurs continue to navigate that market with Guglielmo Vicario marking another impressive purchase last summer.

With midfield also an area they have improved in the past with Bentancur, another Serie A player is on the radar ahead of the summer.

According to The Mirror, Paratici has recommended Atalanta’s Ederson as a player who Spurs should consider going after to bolster their midfield.

A defensive midfielder is one of Postecoglou’s top priorities going into the summer transfer window with Pierre-Emile Hojbjerg set to leave the club.

However, there are a number of English clubs who are also being linked with Newcastle United, Liverpool and Manchester United all credited in the report.

Ederson seriously impressed in Atalanta’s Europa League triumph

Although Ederson has enjoyed a successful season in Serie A with Atalanta, he will have caught the eye of many on Wednesday night in the Europa League final.

The Italian side were able to do what no other side has done all season and beat Xabi Alonso’s Bayer Leverkusen in the German’s final game of the campaign.

And at the heart of the Atalanta midfield was Ederson, who put on a show for any on watching parties.
