The Mega Millions jackpot for Friday’s lottery drawing has jumped to an estimated $453 million with a cash option of $209.8 million.
The drawing will be held at 10:59 p.m. and televised on WABC-7 in New York City and Fox 29 in Philadelphia. NJ.com will publish the winning numbers immediately following the drawing.
While no one across the country hit Tuesday’s $421 million jackpot, two second-prize tickets matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball were sold.
A ticket bought in Louisiana is worth $2 million — twice the standard $1 million — because the winner spent an extra $1 for the Megaplier option. A California ticket is valued at $943,692.
California lottery prizes vary depending on ticket sales and number of winners. They differ from the fixed second prizes offered in other participating states.
Tuesday’s winning numbers were: 2, 5, 8, 28 and 69. The Mega Ball drawn was 14 with a Megaplier of 2x.
The jackpot has been growing since someone who bought a ticket at ShopRite in Neptune Township won the massive $1.13 billion prize on March 26. It’s the biggest prize ever won in New Jersey and the eighth largest in U.S. lottery history.
Theodds of a $2 ticket winning the Mega Millions jackpot by matching five numbers and the Mega Ball are 302,575,350 to 1.
Players have a 1 in 12,607,306 chance of a ticket matching five numbers but not the Mega Ball and winning at least $1 million. The odds of matching four numbers plus the Mega Ball for a prize valued of at least $10,000 are 931,001 to 1.
Saturday’s Powerball jackpot is worth an estimated $120 million with a cash option of $56.1 million.
