Undoubtedly the definitive ‘it’ couple of 2024, nobody is doing it quite like Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce. Taking a globally adored pop star and a Super Bowl-winning footballer is almost too on the nose – as if their relationship was written by the director of a high school rom-com, pinning the two most popular kids at school together as prom king and queen. Yet, Swelce seems to work so well together as a couple and the internet, understandably, can’t get enough of the pair. Having only been publically official since September, the esteemed pair have already racked up a number of adorable moments together – so here are a few of our favorites.
Taylor’s first time watching the Chiefs with Donna and Ed Kelce
Though it feels like it’s been at least a couple of years given how many stories we’ve heard about the pair, there was once a time in the not-too-distant past when Travis and Taylor were not yet public and Ms. Swift had never been spotted at one of his games.
So when Taylor made her first appearance at The Arrowhead Stadium on September 24, the world couldn’t help but smile – as the Bad Blood star watched her boyfriend’s Kansas City Chiefs beat the Chicago Bears 41-10.
Swift’s presence at the game was such a big event that ESPN noted her attendance in its official game report. Even the official NFL account couldn’t help but share its excitement:

Donna and Ed Kelce’s first interviews about Taylor
While they had appeared on-screen together at the football, it was greatly affirming to hear both of the Kelce seniors speaking so openly about their son’s newfound relationship.
In an interview with People back in October, Donna admitted that, while she wouldn’t class herself a Swiftie, “talent is talent”.
Having initially been tight-lipped about the relationship, Donna went on to divulge in November that her son was “happier than I’ve seen him in a long time”, adding “God bless him, he shot for the stars!”.
In a similar vein, Travis’s father, Ed, went on the record speaking about the couple in February, admitting that Taylor is “very gracious”.
Referring to the speech she gave NYU grads in 2022, Ed said: “Listening to that, you get a much better sense of who this young woman is, as opposed to the social media blurbs and the gossip magazines.
“That’s all celebrity stuff. This is more the real Taylor.”

Having only known each other for a matter of months, Taylor and Donna looked like they had been in-laws for years, as they careered across the field in search of Travis, who was fresh off a Superbowl victory.
Swifties couldn’t quite contain their excitement, as Donna clutched onto Taylor’s hand – suggesting that the pair were more comfortable with one another than ever.
“Not donna holding her hand”, wrote one adoring fan in the quote tweets, as another added: “The way Donna is holding Taylor’s hand sweetest mama Kelce”.

Anyone who knows anything about Travis will appreciate just how important his brother and podcast cohost Jason Kelce is to him.
And while it was undoubtedly important to Travis that Taylor got on with him – it would appear the tight end had little to worry about, with the pair seemingly very comfortable in each other’s company right from the off.
The division playoff game between the Chiefs and the Bills is said to have been the first time Taylor and Jason met, yet that didn’t stop the former Eagles star from whipping his shirt off in celebration, as evidenced below:
Travis’s adorable comments about their relationship
Having acquired an unprecedented new level of fame, Travis sat down with the WSJ back in November to tell all about what life was like dating Taylor, while juggling a shot at the Super Bowl.
And if his girlfriend had any trepidations about him being overly coy when the subject of their relationship was brought up, she needn’t have worried.
Describing the way Travis spoke about Taylor, the WSJ wrote: “Kelce seems freer, too. He doesn’t need to be asked about Taylor; he mentions her unreservedly, lavishes praise on her, calls her ‘hilarious,’ a ‘genius'”.
Discussing the reasons why the pair got on so well, Kelce himself said: “Everybody knows I’m a family guy. Her team is her family. Her family does a lot of stuff in terms of the tour, the marketing, being around, so I think she has a lot of those values as well, which is right up my alley.”
The article went on to note that, adorably, the power couple looked like “peas in a pod” together while gathered around Travis’s fire pit one evening – before bursting into song together (the song in question was Wheatus – Teenage Dirtbag).
Discussing her writing ability, a particularly smitten Travis went on to add: “I’ve never been a man of words. Being around her, seeing how smart Taylor is, has been f*****g mind-blowing. I’m learning every day.”
While the future remains uncertain, and marriage doesn’t seem to be on the cards quite yet – it certainly seems as though the internet’s favorite couple is not going anywhere, any time soon.
