Kate Middleton's unbending parenting tactic for her children she 'learned from Diana'

Kate Middleton and Prince William have raised their children with a parenting tactic adopted from the late Princess Diana.

Before Diana, Princess of Wales’ tragic passing at the age of 36 in August 1997, she was widely hailed for being a model mother to her sons Prince Harry and William. Both sons are now parents themselves, and their mother’s influence on how they raise their children is heartwarming, to say the least. William and his wife Kate Middleton had their first child, Prince George, in 2013, his sister Princess Charlotte born in 2015 and their brother Prince Louis born in 2017. One of the most important things to teach young children is manners, and in this regard, Diana has touchingly played a role in their upbringing.

Kate Middleton has adopted one of Diana’s unique parenting tips

Alongside Kate, William has been sure to parent his children in a way their grandmother would surely appreciate.

Diana would have him and Harry write letters of appreciation and thank you notes to those who it was appropriate. Adorably, this is something William and Kate have kept up with George, Charlotte, and Louis.

“[William and Kate] have developed this brilliant knack of letting as much as they can seem spontaneous and that’s how the children see it,” a royal source has claimed [per My London].

“Table manners, thank you letters, little courtesies are being drilled into the children so they become automatic.”

It was no secret that Diana would encourage her royal sons to put pen to paper to express their gratitude to those deserving. Ken Wharfe, their former protection officer, has spoken of the parenting tactic before.

It’s perhaps not something many parents would think of, yet royal manners can be taught and learned by all.

Harry once wrote an unforgettable ‘thank you’ note after day out

Ken’s memory of Diana’s ‘thank you note’ parenting helped him recall a moment the mother and son once shared on a bus.

Harry wanted to take the London Underground and ride a bus, so Diana was happy to let him experience some normality, under the condition Ken escorted them for safety.

Taking the 38 bus direct to Victoria station, Ken recalls that the bus driver would add a “parp, parp, ring, ring” after announcing the name of the next stop. Harry shouted the noises back at the bus driver and Diana demanded he apologize.

The driver, meanwhile, said he “loved” it and got quite the laugh from the young boy.

When Ken came across his desk the next day, he discovered a letter from Harry offering his many thanks for helping him and his mother have a normal day out in London.

Hilariously, and even more adorably, he wrapped up the note by adding a “parp, parp, ring, ring”. It’s great to see Harry’s had a winning sense of humor and spirit for fun from the very start.
