Report: What Crystal Palace insiders are now saying about Oliver Glasner amid Daichi Kamada talks

Crystal Palace insiders are reportedly of the belief that Oliver Glasner has created an environment at the club that players want to be a part of.

Oliver Glasner was given the top job at Selhurst Park midway through last season, following Roy Hodgson’s exit from the club, and the former Eintracht Frankfurt manager has done superb work in South London.

Since his appointment at Selhurst Park, Glasner has excelled for the club and has taken Crystal Palace from strength to strength on the pitch, with the highlight being a 4-0 win over Manchester United.

The future of some key players have been called into question this summer but a report has emerged which could affect this.

Palace insiders on Glasner

According to a report from The Mirror, Glasner’s impact at Palace has meant that there is an internal belief amongst some that the environment being created by the Austrian means players may want to stay.

Michael Olise is the player who has been linked the most with a move away from Selhurst Park with Manchester United and Chelsea interested, as per the Evening Standard.

According to the report, there has been a drastic shift in ambition and Palace have moved quickly to begin work on summer transfer dealings, despite the window not opening for another two weeks.

This is reflected in their attempts to sign Japanese international Daichi Kamada on a free transfer after negotiations between the attacking midfielder and Lazio broke down.

Real Betis centre-back Chadi Riad has passed a medical in South London and is reportedly expected to complete his move to the Premier League soon.

Olise’s dilemma

As the summer transfer window approaches, the dilemma for French winger Olise is a simple one. Stay at Palace where he has performed consistently or take that next step in his career and move to United or Chelsea.

Despite it looking like the former Reading winger will leave the club, some serious consideration from Olise’s camp should be given to remaining in South London this summer.

Under Glasner, the club have gone from strength to strength and look to be stable. Moving to Old Trafford or Stamford Bridge may not grant the Frenchman that same stability that he needs.
