‘He wants to go’: ‘Excellent’ manager wouldn’t even hesitate if he was offered the Man Utd job – journalist

Manchester United may be looking for a new manager this summer.

Erik ten Hag was triumphant in the FA Cup final at Wembley last week, but his future is still up in the air after a poor league campaign.

Discussions around who could replace Ten Hag at Old Trafford are already underway, and according to Ben Jacobs, Thomas Tuchel is very much up for taking the job.

Speaking on The United Stand, Jacobs says that Tuchel wants to go to United, claiming that he would almost automatically say yes if he were offered the job at this point.

Thomas Tuchel wouldn’t hesitate to take United job

Jacobs shared what he knows about the ‘excellent’ manager.

“There is a clear distinction between succession planning and interviewing. With Tuchel, the Tuchel side is that he wants to go to Manchester United he feels he has unfinished business within the Premier League.

“If it was up to Tuchel he would near automatically say yes to Manchester United. Some at Bayern have a conspiracy theory that he’s known there will be a vacancy and he’s forced his way out of Bayern. Bayern feel Tuchel didn’t sign up again because he knew there would be a vacancy at Manchester United and he would be a frontrunner.”

Tuchel a great option

Tuchel would be up for taking the United job, and this may be an avenue the Red Devils want to explore.

Tuchel has tasted success almost everywhere he’s ever been, and, as Jacobs says, he feels like he has unfinished business in the Premier League.

United need someone who is a big personality and a winner to take them forwards, and Tuchel ticks both of those boxes.

There may not be a better candidate on the market than Tuchel for United at the moment.
