Report: Fulham have discussed signing Tottenham’s £25m player

Tottenham have a number of players they’re looking to shift this summer.

Indeed, Spurs have plenty of deadwood in their squad, and one player who looks almost certain to leave now is Ryan Sessegnon.

The £25m man’s contract is up this summer, and after a long string of injury issues, his time at Tottenham appears to be up.

His contract isn’t expected to be renewed, and Sessegnon will be on the market this summer.

According to The Athletic, a return to Fulham could be on the cards.

Fulham have discussed signing Ryan Sessegnon

According to The Athletic, Fulham have had early discussions about re-signing Ryan Sessegnon.

Of course, Sessegnon came through Fulham’s academy, and, for a long time, he was their crown jewel.

The England U21 international won every single individual award in the Championship back in the 2017/18 season as Fulham were promoted under Slavisa Jokanovic.

Sessegnon remains a fan favourite at Craven Cottage, and now, he could have the chance to return home.

However, Fulham do have some reservations about this deal.

Fulham aren’t sure on Ryan Sessegnon

Fulham know how talented Sessegnon is and how good he can be on his day, but even they have some reservations about doing this deal.

Indeed, Fulham aren’t sure about Sessegnon due to his fitness problems over the past few years, and that could scupper any sort of move.

Sessegnon’s hamstrings continuously seem to let him down, and once those issues start, it’s hard to stop them.

As great as it would be to see Sessegnon back in a Fulham shirt, there’s no real room for sentiment in football, and if he’s not going to add to the squad in a meaningful way, he’s not worth signing.

Fulham have a lot to mull over before they decide whether or not they want to proceed with signing Sessegnon.
