Eagle-eyed Tottenham fans spot tribute to former manager in 2024/25 home kit reveal

Tottenham have officially unveiled their new Nike home kit for the 2024/25 season, with a new design that catches the attention.

The home kit sports the usual lilywhite colour famously associated with Spurs but features navy blue on the collar, shoulders and sides of the shirt.

A white and blue stripe theme encapsulates the sleeve cuffs, finishing off a striking new design from Nike that will represent Tottenham next season.

Supports got a first glimpse of the new kit in action, with stars Heung-Min Son, James Maddison, Dejan Kulusevski and Destiny Udogie all donning it in a reveal video.

There were also a few nods to other elements of the North London outfit within the video that some eagle-eyed supports will have spotted.

Terry Venables tribute in Tottenham 2024/25 home kit reveal

Tottenham’s new home kit reveal was led by Gavin and Stacey star Mathew Horne – who happens to be a lifelong Spurs fan.

With the setting of a pub, several stars from the squad were seen in their new kit, while there was also a surprise guest feature from a cockerel.

The pub also had a fitting tribute to former player and manager Terry Venables, who sadly passed away in November last year.

A plaque in the video said “El Tel’s Spot” as a nod towards the star who had won an FA Cup with the club on the pitch as well as the dugout.

Some eagle-eyed supporters were able to spot it, with one fan saying on social media: “Not sure about the video but lovely nod to Terry Venables.”

While another added: “Nice little nod to Terry Venables in the kit launch today by @SpursOfficial.”

Other moments you may have missed from the Tottenham kit reveal

There were plenty of little easter eggs in the kit reveal, one of which featured Maddison playing darts to mimic his iconic goal celebration.

The table football scene featured some Tottenham names on the back of the players, with “Son” being visible on one of those.

In the background, there were beer pumps that included the Tottenham crest, while the mock newspaper was called “The White Hart Times” as a nod towards the old stadium.

It all harks back to the small parts that make up the football club that fans love so dearly.
