Rihanna debuts short hair transformation but fans obsessed over something else

Rihanna has unveiled a new short hair look as part of her Fenty Hair line, but fans’ minds are elsewhere in their reactions.

With songs like We Found Love, Work, and Umbrella only scratching the surface of her catalog, Rihanna remains one of the foremost musical icons of the 21st century. The 36-year-old released her debut studio album Music Of The Sun in 2005 and has unveiled seven since then. She has been with her partner A$AP Rocky since late 2019 and the pair now share two children, RZA and Riot Rose. She’s remained immensely busy over the years, revealing her latest career step in a new announcement.

Rihanna announces Fenty Hair with glimpse of short hair look

On Wednesday, June 5th 2024, Rihanna announced she is launching Fenty Hair, a brand new hair care products line to expand upon her Fenty Beauty brand.

“A new family is moving in!” she said, breaking the news in an Instagram post. “Fenty Hair is pullin up and it’s time to finally have the hair experience you’ve been waiting for. You know how much switching my hair up matters to me. I’ve had almost every texture, color, length, from weaves to braids to natural.”

She continued: “I am launching a flexible line of products for not only every hair want, but every single product is designed to strengthen and repair all types of hair, which is what we truly need! It’s time to play and get stronger by the style.”

The official hair care line will be released on Thursday, June 13th 2024, and you can sign up now in order to gain access and purchase products before others.

Judging from the comments sections on her socials, however, plenty of fans are less than thrilled with the news…

Rihanna fans disappointed by Fenty Hair for major reason

The Barbados-born singer’s eighth studio album was her most recent, 2016’s Anti. Since then, fans have been anticipating a ninth with increasing impatience.

“We never getting the album y’all,” one reacted to her Fenty Hair post on Twitter, essentially ignoring the content of the announcement itself. Somebody replied that they felt the same the very second they laid eyes upon the announcement, telling others just as crushed to “hang that dream up.”

“I wanna cry,” another starved of new Rihanna music reacted. “Drop music not hair.”

The demand for new music instead of the expansion of her Fenty Line is way more prevalent on her Instagram posts too.

“But where is Fenty Music?” a frustrated fan asked. “This ain’t what we meant by new tracks mama.”

Echoing the Twitter reactions, someone suggested “She ain’t never putting out another album.”

The comment section is fit to burst with reactions like “Everything but MUSIC is coming soon,” and “She definitely forgot that she is a singer.”

Demand for Fenty Music or a Fenty album appears again and again when you scroll through her Fenty Hair posts. “Can we HAIR some new music?” one joked.

Keep on dreaming everybody, keep on dreaming.
