Tottenham could be about to help Arsenal sell their ‘special’ player this summer - opinion

Tottenham and Arsenal are both set for busy summer transfer windows.

Spurs need to add to their squad in order to make sure they finish in the top four next season, while Arsenal are looking to bridge the gap between themselves and Manchester City at the top of the table.

In order to improve their squad, Arsenal need to raise some funds through player sales, and one player they’re looking to sell for a healthy profit is Emile Smith Rowe.

The England international is said to be up for sale this summer, and, interestingly, Tottenham could be about to help Arsenal in their quest to sell Smith Rowe.

Tottenham could help Arsenal sell Emile Smith Rowe

Spurs could help Arsenal in their quest to sell Emile Smith Rowe after a recent report emerged stating that Tottenham want to sign Andreas Pereira from Fulham.

Sometimes, one transfer can set off a domino effect that has wide-reaching implications across the Premier League, and Pereira to Tottenham could have that exact effect.

Indeed, if Tottenham do sign the Brazil international, Fulham will be short an attacking midfield player.

If Fulham do need a new number 10, then their interest in Emile Smith Rowe could accelerate.

Fulham interested in Emile Smith Rowe

Fulham are said to be among the teams keen on Emile Smith Rowe, and if a gap opens up their squad with the sale of Pereira, don’t be shocked if they do make a move.

Fulham have a strong relationship with Arsenal, signing the likes of Bernd Leno and Cedric Soares from the Gunners in recent years, and that could bode well for their pursuit of Smith Rowe too.

A move to Craven Cottage could allow Smith Rowe to stay in London, and if Pereira does go, he’d be guaranteed Premier League minutes under Marco Silva.

Of course, there’s no guaranteed that any of these moves do happen, but if Tottenham do go for Pereira, don’t be shocked if Fulham make their move for the ‘special‘ Arsenal player immediately afterwards.
