'Almost 100 percent': Club president confirms his side are close to signing £10m Leeds player

A club president has confirmed that his side are close to signing a £10m Jesse Marsch signing from Leeds United.

Having missed out on promotion back to the Premier League, Leeds are expected to move on a number of players in the fast-approaching summer transfer window.

With parachute payments dropping, the onus will be on the board to raise funds to stay in line with profit and Sustainability regulations.

That said, it seems the first departure of the window is imminent.

Marc Roca set to leave Leeds United

Marc Roca spent last season on loan at LaLiga outfit Real Betis and now club president Angel Haro has confirmed that a deal to bring him back is close.

“Roca remains almost one hundred percent, on loan or with another formula. If Carvalho and Guido leave, another midfielder will have to be signed,” Haro said.

The Spanish midfielder is keen to rejoin Betis and so too is manager Manuel Pellegrini, who selected him to start 32 games.

It remains to be seen whether his exit will be on loan or permanent, though, Leeds will likely be pushing to recoup the £10m they outlaid on him.

Could be more departures before end of June

There could be a number of Leeds departures before the end of June – when the financial year ends.

Crysencio Summerville has been heavily rumoured to leave and is expected to be the main sale this summer to stay in line with Financial Fair Play regulations.

It means Leeds may not be able to bring anyone in until July when the new financial year starts.
