Lady Gaga speaks out on pregnancy rumors but fans more bothered over Taylor Swift

Taylor Swift has leaped to the defense of fellow pop icon Lady Gaga over “invasive” rumors about her pregnancy status in the press.

The trailblazing singer-turned-Hollywood star Lady Gaga has been forced to clear up rumors about herself online after a number of stories about her potentially being pregnant began to circulate online – much to the annoyance of Taylor Swift. In an unlikely turn of events, Swift has made a rare decision to comment on Gaga’s TikTok post defending her, much to the delight of several hundred thousand fans.

Taylor Swift sticks up for Lady Gaga on TikTok

In a short clip that has garnered nearly seven million views in just over a day, Gaga posed to a popular TikTok sound about self-appreciation, alongside a caption which read “not pregnant — just down bad cryin at the gym”, before encouraging viewers to register to vote while the Bad Romance singer had their attention.

The “crying at the gym” reference was a nod to a lyric on Swift’s track Down Bad from her latest album – and as if she had omitted a Swift-style bat signal, the Eras tour star herself flocked to the comments to defend Gaga from the media’s pregnancy rumor mill.

The star is often victim to wild speculation, including how Lady Gaga and Bradley Cooper had a ‘secret’ wedding, which is another fan-favorite myth.

“Can we all agree that it’s invasive & irresponsible to comment on a woman’s body”, wrote a defiant Swift in the comments section.

She added: “Gaga doesn’t owe anyone an explanation & neither does any woman.”

‘My favorite girls’ – fans react to her moment

While Gaga was subtly making a rather important point about the way the media reports on female stars, the comment section was quickly overrun by excited Swifties who were surprised to see their idol appear in the comments section.

Thankfully, however, the comment section remained a positive, supportive atmosphere.

“The Taylor reference!”, wrote one excited fan. “My favorite girls”.

“My mother was QUICK with a response lol”, laughed another, while a third commenter added: “The Taylor reference I’m OBSESSED”.

Swift has also been met with countless rumors about her pregnancy and marital status over the years – and while many fans were preoccupied with demanding a collaboration between the pair, it was unanimously agreed by the flurry of viewers that neither star should have to constantly answer questions about their bodies or personal lives.

Since Swift’s romance with Travis Kelce went public, the pair have been subject to engagement and marriage rumors over the past 10 months as well.

The singer has dealt with the same experience as Gaga, which is likely why she rushed to defend her.
