Report: £3m Brazilian is now ‘ready’ to make Nottingham Forest move this summer

Nottingham Forest are now ready to make a £3m Brazilian their first signing of the summer transfer window.

The summer transfer window has not officially opened yet, but a big month awaits Nottingham Forest as they require player sales to abide with PSR rules.

Forest have until 30 June to create some cash through player sales before the deadline hits which could hit them with further penalties going into the new campaign.

However, Nuno Espirito Santo will also be wanting to see a number of areas of his side bolstered by owner Evangelos Marinakis.

Although Forest were slapped with a four-point deduction last season, they were made to wait until the final game of the season to secure their Premier League status.

And as they look to progress from their struggles last term, the first of their summer business could be edging closer to completion.

Brazilian ready to play for Nottingham Forest

Although Forest are looking like they’re going to be forced into player sales this month, it does not mean players will not be arriving at the City Ground.

There are several players who could be headed for the exit doors over the coming weeks with the likes of Matt Turner receiving interest from the MLS.

Some considerable money could be made on some of Forest’s bigger players with the likes of Murillo believed to be valued at around £70m by the club.

But that would see the Brazilian potentially depart as one of his former Corinthians teammates may potentially be set to arrive.

According to reports from Brazil, Corinthians goalkeeper Carlos Miguel is now ‘ready to play’ for Nottingham Forest.

It has been claimed the 25-year-old Brazilian has a €4m (£3m) release clause in his contract with the Brazilian giants.

The Brazilian has played just four times in the league this season for Corinthians where he has been able to keep two clean sheets.

Nottingham Forest quickly solving their goalkeeper issues

There is little doubting the issues Forest have endured between the sticks this season with three different goalkeepers taking their turn in the starting XI.

Odysseas Vlachodimos, Matt Turner and Matz Sels have all had their opportunity to impress Nuno this season and two fo those are already being linked with moves away.

The Greek goalkeeper, Vlachodimos, is also expected to part ways with Forest having been left frustrated with his lack of game time this season.

With this seemingly being a position which Nuno is keen to address, bringing in a new goalkeeper before the pre-season efforts start would be hugely beneficial to provide the potential new goalkeeper with as much time as possible to bed in to his new club.
