‘Spoke to him’: Journalist drops ‘interesting’ behind-the-scenes details on Jamal Musiala amid Man City links

A journalist has shared some behind-the-scenes details regarding Manchester City transfer target Jamal Musiala.

Back in April, it was reported that the Bayern Munich midfielder is a top target for City ahead of the upcoming summer transfer window.

After failing to win the Bundesliga and Champions League this season, the 21-year-old is now preparing with the rest of his Germany teammates for the upcoming European Championship.

Now though, a journalist with expert knowledge of the Bundesliga has shared some insight into what he knows about the Bayern star and what his current situation is in terms of what the summer window may hold for him.

Journalist drops ‘interesting’ claim on Jamal Musiala amid Man City transfer interest

Speaking in a recent edition of the FC Bayern Insider Podcast, journalist and presenter Christian Falk had this to say on the matter

He said: “We spoke to him about his future and that was very interesting, of course. I have a feeling that something is going on with Jamal Musiala. We won’t reveal any more at the moment.”

During his time with Bayern, the midfielder has scored 43 goals and delivered 31 assists in 163 appearances across all competitions.

Looking back over the recent Bundesliga campaign, Musiala found the back of the net 10 times and delivered six assists in 24 matches.

He also ended the season with an overall performance rating of 7.65/10 from WhoScored, making him the third-highest-rated player at the German club behind Harry Kane (7.82/10) and Leroy Sane (7.68/10).

City must explore Musiala transfer move

While Falk hasn’t gone into any specifics, we feel that the fact that the journalist has insinuated that there could be some uncertainties over Musiala’s future at Bayern is rather interesting.

With that in mind, we feel that the Manchester club should definitely explore the possibility of landing a deal with Bayern for the midfield star and capitalise on any uncertainty there may be about the player and his future at the German club.
