According to a recent report from the Daily Mail, Crystal Palace midfielder Eberechi Eze, who has been linked with a move to City previously has a clause in his current deal worth £60m plus additional add-ons worth in the region of £8m.

In his latest season at the South London club, the 25-year-old, whose footballing journey has been described as “unique” by Rio Ferdinand, scored 11 goals and delivered four assists in 27 Premier League appearances.

Eze wowed in the Premier League this season

The Englishman ended the campaign with more shots at goal (82), key passes (54), shot-creating actions (110), successful take-ons (69) and carries into the penalty area (43) than any other player at Palace.

His performances earned the midfielder an overall season rating of 7.45/10 from WhoScored, making him the sixth-highest-rated player in the entire division.

This also led to Eze being included in Gareth Southgate’s final England squad for the upcoming European Championship in Germany.

Taking all of that into account, we feel that City should definitely consider triggering Eze’s release clause this summer if Pep Guardiola and his coaching staff still feel that he would be a suitable addition to the squad.
