It’s understood that Villa will be in a sell-to-buy situation in the transfer window, with several stars already linked with moves away.
One player whose situation is being heavily speculated is Douglas Luiz, with the latest reports outlining a possible destination for the midfielder.

As the transfer talk heats up, speculation is rising regarding the future of Luiz at Villa Park.
Juventus have proposed a swap deal to sign Luiz however, the Serie A giants are not the only club interested.
Journalist Rudy Galetti reported this week that Arsenal are once again showing interest in the 26-year-old.
Galetti claimed that the Gunners are taking a ‘concrete interest’ in the Villa star, as the Midlands club look to offload talent before the end of June.
It’s said that Villa want £50m for the Brazilian, as per Gianluca Di Marzio, with Arsenal’s interest making for an encouraging scenario when it comes to easing PSR concerns.
Villa should be relieved to hear of Arsenal’s interest in Luiz
While the ideal situation would be for Villa to retain Luiz, who was described as ‘invaluable’ to Emery’s side by Alan Shearer, the club must offload for profit this summer.
Arsenal have been admirers of the 26-year-old for some time, as the Villans rejected three bids for the midfielder in 2022, via Sky Sports.
There is a positive to the Gunners’ interest, as the fact remains that the North Londoners would be able to pay the asking price, something Juventus would struggle to achieve.
In having a strong suitor for the Brazil international, Villa are in a favourable position to ease their PSR concerns with a club of great financial power interested.
Selling to a Premier League rival is perhaps not what Emery would have hoped although, the issue of PSR must be abolished to avoid punishment.
While Juventus would have been a preferable destination for Luiz, a switch to Arsenal would hand Villa the funds needed to lift the financial pressures early.
Only time will tell if Mikel Arteta’s side are eager to take advantage of Villa’s need to sell this summer, in what could be a fundamental transfer for the Midlands club’s finances.
