Endrick and Gabriel Magalhaes left blown away by £6m Arsenal player for his country last night

Gabriel Magalhaes joined Real Madrid bound talent Endrick in celebrating one of his Arsenal teammates’ performances for their country on Sunday.

With both Euro 2024 and the Copa America taking place this summer, Mikel Arteta will be able to observe several of his Arsenal players in action.

In the prelude to these tournaments, the likes of Leandro Trossard and Martin Odegaard were in action for their countries on Sunday, among many others.

And whilst monitoring the progress of their squad, Arteta and Edu must be similarly focused on executing their summer transfer plans.

Arsenal have a considerable budget once again, and could even add four or five players depending on who leaves.

Signing a striker, a central midfielder and a full back are all seen as essential, and then there’s two other possible additions.

Arsenal would benefit from the addition of a world class winger if available, and a right-sided centre-back to cover for William Saliba.

Although when playing for his country on Sunday, perhaps Gabriel Martinelli displayed his determination to cancel any plans to add a wide-forward.

Gabriel Martinelli proves his credentials to be key for Mikel Arteta again next season

Starting for Brazil on the left wing in their 3-2 win over Mexico, Martinelli scored his second goal for his national team.

Local Brazilian sources praised Martinelli for his defensive efforts that we often see at Arsenal in his 61 minutes.

And following the feel-good win against Mexico and his goal, Martinelli then took to Instagram to celebrate with his fans and teammates.

The £6m-forward uploaded three photos with the caption: “Always an honour to wear this shirt.”

Replying in Portuguese, Real Madrid’s Endrick said “Tu joga muitoooo!!!!”, which roughly translates to ‘you play very well’.

And as stated, Gabriel, who sat on Brazil’s bench for the night, also praised Martinelli saying: “You are brave my brother.”

Of course, Leandro Trossard is the man Martinelli is predominantly competing against for a start at Arsenal.

And having also played for his country on Sunday, Trossard scored for Belgium in their 3-0 win and impressed local media.

It’s certainly a healthy situation for Arsenal to be in, and if they were to add a winger, perhaps the likes of Athletic Bilbao’s Nico Williams, it would perhaps be someone intended to dovetail with Bukayo Saka too.
