Report: European giants now decide to sell their 'world-class' midfielder; he's keen to join Arsenal

Arsenal could be handed a golden chance to sign one of Europe’s top midfielders with Bayern Munich open to selling a number of players.

The German giants are looking at overhauling their squad this summer and a number of players are being linked with moves away from Munich.

Of course, Bayern have a number of top stars on their books and a number of Premier League clubs would take them off their hands.

And in a surprising move, a report from Sky Sports Germany has claimed they will even consider selling one of their top players of the last few years.

That player, is Joshua Kimmich.

Arsenal could get chance to sign Joshua Kimmich

According to the report, Kimmich is among six top stars at Bayern who the club are open to offers for this summer.

Kimmich is the star attraction among the six, which features former Arsenal man Serge Gnabry and another German midfield star, Leon Goretzka.

Bayern failed to win the title last season despite bringing Harry Kane in and seeing the Englishman break the record for goals in a debut season.

This summer, then, it looks like Bayern are ready to move pieces to give new manager Vincent Kompany the best chance of success.

Kimmich is open to joining Arsenal

While Kimmich is being courted by a number of clubs, it is Arsenal who will take a keen interest in the development here.

Indeed, it was only this week that reports claimed Kimmich would be more than open to joining the Gunners, who are looking to strengthen the squad this summer.

Kimmich, who is a ‘world-class’ operator in his position, is apparently going to be available for around £25m.

The German has had a hugely successful career with Munich and has been a key part of their dominance of the last decade.

Arsenal, of course, are looking for another quality operator in midfield.

Kimmich, then, ticks plenty of boxes.
