Report shares four signings Nuno Espirito Santo wants Nottingham Forest to make this summer

Nuno Espirito Santo has now told Nottingham Forest four signings he wants this summer – according to reports.

The man from São Tomé is about to embark on his second transfer window in charge of the Garibaldi – after bringing Giovanni Reyna, Rodrigo Ribeiro and Matz Sels to the City Ground in January – and has four positions in mind as he aims to avoid another relegation battle next season.

So, what signings does Nuno Espirito Santo want Nottingham Forest to make? Let’s take a look…

Four signings Nuno wants Nottingham Forest to make

A story from Football Insider now reveals that the 50-year-old wants to bolster four areas of his squad this summer.

It is said that Nuno wants Evangelos Marinakis to bring him a new goalkeeper and a creative midfielder, as well as a forward and a new right-back.

Nottingham Forest are also said to be specifically targeting players under the age of 25 due to a fresh recruitment model at the City Ground – which aims to find more gems such as Murillo and Danilo.

Football Insider add that the Reds have trimmed £15m from the wage bill after releasing 18 fringe players, which has created room for new signings.

Progress already being made

The summer transfer window does not officially open until Friday – although Nottingham Forest are already making good progress with Nuno’s demands.

A deal to sign Corinthians No.22 Carlos Miguel is believed to be close, with the Brazilian glovesman now ready to make the move to the City Ground and compete against Sels.

Nottingham Forest also seemed close to signing Che Adams to satisfy Nuno’s need for a new forward – although the Scotland international now looks set to join Wolves instead.

Nevertheless, it is encouraging to see a new goalkeeper on the brink of joining amid doubts over the future of the unhappy Odysseas Vlachodimos – and there is still plenty of time for Ross Wilson to strengthen the other positions Nuno wants bolstering.
