Will Smith hails ‘fantastic’ Messi during Bad Boys promotional shoot

Speaking on the Full Send podcast, Smith revealed that he enjoyed working alongside Messi for the shoot, with the actor sharing that the Inter Miami star seemed to enjoy being on set more than himself.

Messi is no stranger to working in the industry having this year appeared in his first Super Bowl advert, and this latest shoot for Bad Boys: Ride or Die seemed to have been just as fun for the 36-year-old.

Smith said: “Messi is fantastic, he doesn’t do stuff like [acting], so it’s really interesting when you see somebody who is world-class in the thing that they do, and then they get that little kid smile doing something [new].

“He loved being on the set working, it was like a relief for him, he just loved playing in that world, he’s fun to watch.”

Inter Miami fans will hope Messi is involved in more shoots

Messi stepping into the world of Hollywood isn’t perhaps the biggest surprise given his blockbuster move to Inter Miami last year, with the American media landscape a tempting call for a figure as big as the Argentine.

Yet for supporters, there will be a hope that Messi is involved in more shoots for more movies and TV shows in the future, with Inter Miami fans and neutrals clearly loving what the forward did with Smith.

Indeed, Messi’s presence on-screen could lead to more roles, and seeing the Inter Miami star live a little and do something away from soccer will be a joy to watch for all.
