Big twist as forward has allegedly now rejected West Ham move after holding Hammers talks

A big twist has just emerged regarding Wilfried Zaha potentially joining West Ham United this summer.

Wilfried Zaha is thought to be firmly on the West Ham radar, and it was claimed only this morning that he’s likely to move to the London Stadium this summer.

The 31-year-old Galatasaray winger was in fine form out in Turkey this season, after he joined them on a free transfer from Crystal Palace in the summer of 2023.

Zaha bagged 10 goals and five assists, and helped his side win the Turkish Super Lig title after their incredible 102 point haul.

Julen Lopetegui is clearly keen to bolster his attacking ranks at West Ham, and it was recently suggested that Zaha is keen to link up with the Spaniard.

However, there has been a big U-turn now it seems…

Wilfried Zaha makes emphatic West Ham move decision

The Ivory Coast international is one of the best players in world football at taking on full-backs, and pinning back the opposition defence.

It’s easy to see why Lopetegui might want to bring Zaha to the London Stadium this summer.

He has absolutely everything that the Hammers need in the left wing department. There’s been a very big twist though…

According to Sabah, Zaha has made his mind up about where he wants to be playing his football next season.

And unfortunately for us, it’s not with West Ham.

The former Crystal Palace winger is allegedly keen to stay with Galatasaray now, after holding talks with the Hammers, Sabah claim.

That’s a big shame. I think that Wilfried Zaha would have made a big difference for West Ham in the left wing department, what with his pace, dribbling ability, experience and attacking output.

Lopetegui will now have to switch his attention elsewhere, because signing a right-footed left winger should be one of his main priorities this summer.

The Spaniard needs to add some more pace and decisiveness to the left side of the pitch, but it seems like Zaha will not be the man for the job.
