A report has now shared what Nottingham Forest officials plan to do once the Profit and Sustainability Rules (PSR) deadline has passed.
The Premier League are expecting Nottingham Forest to raise £20m by the end of June in order to avoid another punishment – after taking four points off the Reds last season for breaching the rules.
So, what do those at the City Ground plan to do once this deadline passes and a new financial year starts? Let’s take a look…
What Nottingham Forest are planning to do
A story from the Mirror now shares a “rumour” coming from those in the City Ground boardroom.
It is said that Nottingham Forest plan to make three or four “quality” additions to Nuno Espirito Santo’s squad once financial obligations are dealt with.
The Mirror add that Nottingham Forest chiefs are confident there will be transfer activity once £20m has been raised through sales – as the Garibaldi aim to avoid a third consecutive relegation battle in the Premier League.

In our view, this should excite Nottingham Forest fans.
Evangelos Marinakis is clearly keen to directly improve Nuno’s starting XI rather than just pad out the squad with options for depth, meaning we could see more stellar performers like Callum Hudson-Odoi and Morgan Gibbs-White arrive at the City Ground.
One signing is close
The Mirror add that one signing is close – and it reinforces what sources in Brazil are saying.
The article states that Corinthians No.22 Carlos Miguel is close to joining Nottingham Forest, which follows a story from journalist Victor Pozella – who claimed the Brazilian goalkeeper has agreed to join the Reds.

Interestingly, the 25-year-old’s decision has sparked fury amongst media outlets close to Corinthians, who have reacted very badly to the news.
Be sure to keep an eye on this situation, as Nottingham Forest could announce Miguel’s arrival once the PSR deadline has passed.
