Report: 'Incredible' £65m player would actually welcome a move to Chelsea, he's on their list

Chelsea are being linked with a £65m player this summer. It’s now been claimed that the individual would welcome a move to Stamford Bridge, too.

Chelsea have already kicked off the summer window by confirming Tosin Adarabioyo’s arrival, with his deal officially beginning on 1 July.

The 26 year old centre-back could be a shrewd pick up by the club on a free transfer.

While Adarabioyo may have joined on a free, the Blues are still linked in the transfer rumour mill with some big spending in other areas.

Chelsea target would welcome move to Stamford Bridge

GiveMeSport claims that Bournemouth striker Dominic Solanke would ‘welcome’ a move to Chelsea this summer.

It is understood that Solanke, 26, is one of the individuals on Chelsea’s transfer shortlist as they eye a new No 9.

The report claims that the Bournemouth frontman is now a ‘serious option’ for the Blues, but there’s not been any kind of approach yet.

Apparently, Solanke feels like he’s got some ‘unfinished business’ at Chelsea, which is why he could be open to returning to West London in the upcoming window. He spent his youth developing in the academy at Cobham, but he made just one first-team appearance in Chelsea colours.

Also, it could help him force his way into the England squad. Despite 21 goals last season across all competitions for Bournemouth, Solanke was left out of Gareth Southgate’s squad for this summer’s Euro 2024 tournament.

TalkSPORT claimed earlier in June that Chelsea and Tottenham are both interested in signing Bournemouth star Solanke this summer. The report added that he’s a £65m release clause in his Bournemouth deal that either London club could choose to activate.

Dominic Solanke is only getting better

Solanke has continued to improve his game during his five seasons as a Bournemouth player, so perhaps this summer is the right time for him to get a big-money transfer.

It would be another step up for him if he returns to Chelsea, but the Englishman was one of the best forwards in the Premier League last season.

Here below is the goal return from Solanke during five years at Bournemouth:

Described as “incredible” by Scott Parker in 2021 (Dorset Live), Solanke is really beginning to fulfil his potential.
