"Going to struggle to get a move": Nottingham Forest fans react to what Matt Turner did during USA 1-1 Brazil

Nottingham Forest fans have now reacted to what Matt Turner did during the 1-1 draw between Brazil and the United States.

The Nottingham Forest No.1 started for his country on Thursday in the final warmup match before the Copa America begins, and proceeded to deliver a Man of the Match performance as the likes of Vinicius Junior were kept quiet.

However, there was one poor moment amid Matt Turner‘s impressive display which has got Nottingham Forest fans talking…

What Nottingham Forest fans are saying about Matt Turner

Unfortunately – despite a strong performance overall – the American was at fault for Rodrygo’s goal with an error which Nottingham Forest fans have seen all too often.

Turner attempted to pass the ball out from the back unsuccessfully in the 17th minute, floating a weak lofted effort right into the centre of the pitch, which enabled Brazil to win possession back with ease.

Raphinha was then able to slot Rodrygo in on goal, before he calmly placed the ball beyond the 29-year-old, who was seen slapping the pitch in frustration.

Nottingham Forest fans have witnessed this all too often from Turner.

The man from New Jersey has often struggled when it comes to playing out from the back, notably giving away both goals in a 2-0 defeat to Tottenham back in December at the City Ground.

Given the fact Turner does not appear to have improved much in this regard across the past six months, Nottingham Forest fans are understandably discussing this weak point of his game.

One Nottingham Forest supporter suggested that the American will “struggle” to find a new club if he keeps making mistakes like this – amid a story from The Athletic, which claims that he is up for sale at the City Ground this summer.

Another showed some sympathy for Turner, as he actually made 11 saves – seven of those from shots inside the box – and received the Man of the Match award on SofaScore, but let himself down with some poor distribution.
