Tottenham dream attack lineup with £28m Tammy Abraham transfer and Eberechi Eze deal

The summer transfer window is set to be a busy one for Tottenham as they look to improve their team for the season ahead.

Following a fifth-placed finish under Ange Postecoglou, Spurs want to build on their project with the Australian coach.

The Tottenham boss has shown glimpses of his style at its full potential, but a lack of quality depth options has cost the team throughout his first season in charge.

With aims of a Champions League return, a push at the top of the Premier League and even some silverware, there’s plenty left for Daniel Levy and the hierarchy to consider when it comes to progress on the pitch.

The transfer market offers the best time to address these issues, with a chance to strengthen the squad in the coming weeks.

One area that needs work is the forward line, so with that said, here’s a look at what Tottenham’s dream attack could look like at the end of the summer.

Tammy Abraham to Tottenham transfer

One player on the radar of Tottenham is former Chelsea and AS Roma striker Tammy Abraham.

HITC’s transfer expert Graeme Bailey has told The Spurs News that Spurs are monitoring a move for Abraham – who could leave Roma for just £28million this summer.

The 26-year-old would offer a clear choice for the centre-forward role at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium – as Heung-Min Son and Richarlison shared the position last season.

Abraham has a proven track record when it comes to scoring for both Chelsea and Roma, though his recent form has struggled due to a serious knee injury he suffered over the past year.

Another crucial factor is that the striker would count as a homegrown prospect, putting less pressure on Spurs to land an expensive Englishman elsewhere.

Tottenham transfer chase for Eberechi Eze

Another player who has been rumoured with a switch to Hotspur Way is Crystal Palace and England star Eberechi Eze.

The 25-year-old had 15 goal involvements in the Premier League last season, helping the Eagles with a late surge towards a top-half finish.

His form has earned a place in the England squad for Euro 2024, with some impressive performances likely to catch the eye during the tournament.

Reports claim that Eze has a £60million release clause in his Crystal Palace contract that Tottenham could pay if they are to land him.

There may be questions over his best position, with both left-wing and attacking midfield being the roles he’s played at Selhurst Park, while a switch to right-wing isn’t out of the question.

Tottenham dream attacking lineup

So if both Abraham and Eze join the forward line for Tottenham, how would that look going forward?

Well, it would be tough to fit everyone in as Spurs would have so many quality options for their attacking ranks.

Postecoglou is keen on having many different skillsets at his disposal, with plenty of rotations likely throughout the season.

It means the same front four are unlikely to be playing week-to-week, especially with the fresh challenge of Europa League football to consider.

However, if the strongest options out of these were picked, it could look something like this.

Tottenham dream front four: Heung-Min Son, James Maddison, Eberechi Eze; Tammy Abraham.

There are naturally questions over how this would fit, especially as Son and Eze would both likely prefer to play on the left, however the latter could be switched to the right.

In reality, the side would likely rotate on a regular basis, creating chaos and confusion for the opposition that already comes with the style Postecoglou opts for.

In this instance, more quality options can only help the manager in his pursuit of glory rather than hindering it.
