Fabrizio Romano says £55m player has now completed his medical ahead of move to Chelsea

Chelsea are reportedly on the brink of making a new signing as they continue to tap into the incredible pool of talent in South America.

The Blues appear to be working fast this summer to get their business done and push new signings over the line.

It’s going to be interesting to see what Enzo Maresca’s squad looks like come the opening day of the season.

Chelsea have snapped up South America talents such as Andrey Santos, Angelo Gabriel, Deivid Washington and Kendry Paez in recent times.

Now, it is claimed they’re on the verge of another similar deal.

Brazilian teenager completes medical ahead of Chelsea move

Journalist Fabrizio Romano claimed via X in the early hours of Saturday morning that Palmeiras youngster Estevao Willian has completed his medical to become a Chelsea player.

It now looks like a matter of time before Estevao, 17, officially signs as a Chelsea player. The Brazilian talent will need to wait until he turns 18 before joining up with the squad at Stamford Bridge next summer.

Romano reported via X earlier this week that Estevao is on track to sign for Chelsea in a matter of days. Apparently, the deal for the Palmeiras youngster could be worth €65m (£55m) in total.

Estevao Willian another big investment for the future

Estevao is a future star Chelsea fans will be keeping a very close eye out for.

The skilful 17-year-old forward, who plays on the right wing, has broken into the first team at Brazlian giants Palmeiras. He’s played 21 senior games for them, plus is a Brazil U17 international.

Let’s hope that in years to come Chelsea can reflect on a crucial bit of business, but there’s a bit of the unknown with these types of deals.
