Declan Rice gives one word description of England teammate Marc Guehi without even hesitating

Declan Rice has given a one word description of all four Crystal Palace players who are in the England squad for this summer’s Euros.

For four Crystal Palace players, this summer sees the chance to be a part of something historic for England as the Three Lions go into the tournament as favourites.

Gareth Southgate‘s side kicked things off with a win, albeit not an emphatic one, beating Serbia thanks to Jude Bellingham’s goal and so things are looking good.

The mood in the camp also looks good, with smiles on faces and the players confident ahead of facing Denmark on Thursday.

Now, from inside the camp, Declan Rice has provided a one word description of his four England teammates who come from Selhurst Park.

Declan Rice gives one word description of each Crystal Palace player in the England squad

On Tuesday, Rice was doing some media bits for England and in doing so he was tasked with describing every single one of his England teammates using just one word.

The first name Rice was quizzed over was Marc Guehi to which the Arsenal midfielder responded by labelling the centre-back as being “Intelligent”.

Next on the list, the midfielder for Rice was Ebere Eze, whom he didn’t exactly stick to the rules over as he labelled the exciting forward as being a “Nice Guy”.

Dean Henderson was next, with Rice grouping him in with the other goalkeepers with his one word being, “Mental. This of course a common thing with goalkeepers who are often mental.

Finally, Rice commented on Adam Wharton, his most recent new midfield partner for England, just a week after praising him. Rice labelled Wharton as being “Silky”, which is high praise from arguably England’s best number six right now and in the past decade.

Crystal Palace No.6 Guehi’s intelligence is so underrated

As a centre-half, Guehi does have it all and is destined to be one of the best in the world.

At just 23, not only does he have the physical and technical qualities required to be at the top as a centre-half in 2024, but he also possesses excellent in-game IQ which is less well-publicised.

But on Sunday against Serbia, Guehi showed the world how smart he is, but this won’t be news to Palace fans as he’s well known to be intelligent.

Alan Pardew also agrees with this, praising the defender for his ability to read the game and stop problems before they become problems.
