Chris Richards has now reacted after seeing a photo of Crystal Palace teammate Jean-Philippe Mateta training with the France Olympic team.
The Crystal Palace No.14 and Michael Olise are currently away preparing for the Olympic Games in Paris after receiving a call-up from Thierry Henry, having initially missed out on a call from Didier Deschamps for UEFA EURO 2024.

Towards the end of last season, the £9m striker’s decision to tuck his shirt in generate some humour amongst the squad.
Joachim Andersen even joked that the entire Crystal Palace team might tuck their shirts in if Mateta kept on scoring goals, and now, the Frenchman has taken his shirt-tucking antics to new extremes.
The 26-year-old could be seen in France training with his shirt firmly tucked into his underpants, to which Richards replied: “Shirt tucked into the undies is insane work 😂😂😂.”
If Mateta keeps scoring goals at the rate he has under Oliver Glasner, he can wear his kit however he likes – as far as we’re concerned.
The man from Sevran remarkably scored 13 goals in 13 appearances under the Austrian after he replaced Roy Hodgson in February, ending the 2023/24 campaign with 19 goals and five assists in 39 games across all competitions.
Crystal Palace No.14 and Michael Olise could be late for the 2024/25 campaign
If France go all the way at the Olympic Games in Paris this summer, Mateta and Olise are likely to miss the start of the 2024/25 campaign.
Crystal Palace travel to Brentford to kick off the new season on Sunday 18th August, whereas the Gold Medal Match at the Olympic Games takes place on Friday 9th August.
Mateta and Olise will then – presumably – have their personal time off, so it wouldn’t surprise us if both were absent for that Premier League clash against the Bees.
