Taylor Swift's heroic move potentially saved her and her friends' life - 'She's a legend'

Taylor Swift’s heroic fire extinguishing skills potentially saved her and her friends’ lives as fellow singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams reminisced about the moment and praised the pop star: “She’s a legend”

Superstar Taylor Swift sure may be on fire when performing on stage at the Eras Tour, but Gracie Abrams recalls a time when she really was almost on fire. The pair were hanging out, singing and drinking, when a fallen candle nearly consumed the kitchen before Taylor swiftly extinguished the bonfire, potentially saving both of their lives.

Taylor Swift knew exactly what to do about the fire

American singer-songwriter Gracie Abrams spoke to Billboard about a time when she was hanging out with Taylor Swift, as you do, and a fire broke out.

Gracie explained that she has a video of Taylor in her kitchen in Tribeca, deliriously extinguishing a fire threatening to consume her center island.

Behind the lens, the 24-year-old celebrity was crying with laughter as her childhood hero worked to save them from danger.

Earlier that night, they had both unknowingly heard the candle fall over in the distance, but Taylor had assured Abrams it was probably one of her cats thumping around.

It was well past six in the morning, after a night filled with dinner and drinks, when the fire was finally put out.

Abrams explained the dramatic situation and said: “She was such a legend – I don’t know how at this hour or in our state she knew what to do.”

The singer even recalled the health conditions aftermath they each experienced: “We both had an insane cough from the fire extinguisher fumes for weeks.”

They had spent a night listening to her upcoming album

Gracie also recalls singing and dancing “like theater kids” to “But Daddy I Love Him” and lying on the floor in disbelief after hearing “The Smallest Man Who Ever Lived.”

She was one of the lucky ones to listen to Tay-Tay’s new album The Tortured Poets Department before millions of others when it released in April.

Actually, loyal Swifties didn’t even know she had been recording a new record until Taylor announced it at the Grammys earlier this year.
