'Amazing...': Barry Bannan reacts to what Sheffield Wednesday have just announced on social media

Barry Bannan is preparing for his ninth season at Sheffield Wednesday after signing a new contract.

Bannan became one of the first players to put pen to paper this summer, as himself and Liam Palmer extended their lengthy stays.

With the pair tied down, Sheffield Wednesday have been working hard to keep hold of the likes of Josh Windass and Di’Shon Bernard, but are yet to come to a conclusion.

However, their preparations for the new campaign continue to get underway, having made three new signings already.

Danny Rohl’s stint at Euro 2024 came to an end over the weekend, with the German set to return to Yorkshire in time for pre-season.

Meanwhile, the club have now revealed their brand new 2024/25 home kit.

Rather than the players sporting the new threads, the Owls shared a video of the different staff members wearing it – from the groundsmen to the receptionist, from the cleaners to the kit-man.

After watching the wholesome clip on social media, Bannan shared his thoughts on the ‘amazing’ video.

He wrote: “What an amazing video of backroom staff revealing kit. One team all together.”

Another positive move from the Owls

While opinions on the kit from fans varied, most were very impressed with their announcement.

The team will be set to wear it during their pre-season campaign, while they will discover who they will be facing in the first match of the Championship season in just two days time.

The kit announcement is just another suggestion of how close-knit this club has become over the last eight months or so.

Everyone has made their contribution to avoiding relegation and everyone deserves their credit for it, while the club head into the new season as one unit working together.

Supporters will now eagerly await the new away kit, which had already been released on June 22 this time last year.
