'There's an opportunity': Tottenham told they must make move to sign 'sensational' £60m PL star this summer

Darren Ambrose has suggested that Tottenham Hotspur have a brilliant opportunity to sign a ‘sensational’ Premier League player in the summer transfer window.

Spurs are going to be one of the sides to watch in this window after they proved to be one of the busiest teams around in January, signing both Timo Werner and Radu Dragusin.

There is clearly a lot of potential within the squad, but it would really capture the imagination if Ange Postecoglou’s men could bring in a marquee addition as they look to take that next step.

It does appear that Tottenham are working on signing one of the most exciting players in the Premier League right now, with reports suggesting that Spurs are looking to soon initiate talks over a move for the £60 million-rated Crystal Palace star Eberechi Eze.

Tottenham told to make move for Eberechi Eze

Eze was superb for the Eagles last season, scoring 11 goals in 27 games in the Premier League. His form saw him force his way into England’s squad for Euro 2024.

Palace will surely want to hold onto Eze as Michael Olise seemingly closes in on joining Bayern Munich. But speaking on talkSPORT, Darren Ambrose believes that Tottenham would be making a mistake not looking to sign Eze.

“Another one, Eze. I know I am associated with Palace, but there’s an opportunity to get him at Spurs. Sensational,” he said.

Strong links at Spurs

Eze’s agents reportedly have strong links with Tottenham, with the player’s entourage apparently almost having a box to themselves at Spurs’ stadium when Oliver Glasner’s side travelled to North London last season.

If he is looking to leave Selhurst Park, a move to Tottenham seems to be a really good step, as he would certainly not be lost in the shuffle in Ange Postecoglou’s squad.

Apart from Heung-min Son, you have to say that no Tottenham attacker has stamped their authority on a place in the side, so someone like Eze would have a real opportunity if they came in.

He would definitely be a real game-changer if Tottenham did decide to heed Ambrose’s advice.
