Tottenham looking to trigger Eberechi Eze release clause

The player in question is Eberechi Eze, who has been sensational for Crystal Palace in recent years.

TBR Football revealed on Tuesday that Spurs have made enquiries about the England international.

Now, talkSPORT have reported that Tottenham ‘will look at activating’ Eze’s £60million release clause this summer.

Spurs will aim to do so after moving players off their wage bill amid ‘serious interest’ in the 25-year-old, added the report.

Tottenham will fancy their chances of signing Eze

Postecoglou has laid some good foundations at Tottenham, and now the club needs to kick on with some more great additions.

We’ve all seen how good Eze is in the Premier League, with Joe Cole previously telling Channel 4 (3/6/24; 19:26) that he is a “world-class” talent.

Eze looks like he’d be a good fit for a Postecoglou team, as he’s a tactically aware and fluid talent who has maverick-type qualities – which the Spurs boss loves.

In addition, Eze is represented by Base, which also counts Postecoglou, Son Heung-min, James Maddison, Pedro Porro and Pape Matar Sarr among its clients.

With that in mind, Spurs will fancy their chances of signing the England international, who is currently at Euro 2024 representing his country.
