What Crystal Palace are now demanding from Bayern Munich as talks continue over Michael Olise - Journalist

Michael Olise’s exit looks imminent but now it’s been suggested that negotiations are continuing with Crystal Palace standing firm over one thing.

It’s now been a week since the first major reports of Michael Olise joining Bayern Munich were last Friday. Since then there hasn’t been much reported besides countless potential replacements who’ve been linked.

When asked about the move, Ebere Eze emphasised that ‘if’ it happened, then Olise would shine brightly and we are inclined to agree due to his phenomenal talent.

Now though, a slight bit of doubt might have just been cast over the move away from Crystal Palace according to the latest reports.

Here’s what has been said.

What Crystal Palace are demanding firm Bayern Munich for Michael Olise

While the deal taking Olise to the Allianz Arena in Munich may seem done, according to Alan Nixon, this might not be the case.

Writing on his Patreon, Nixon explained that Palace are standing firm over the asking price for Olise and are refusing to drop that price.

The Eagles are said to be demanding the full fee of what is now said to be £50m, while Bayern are shocked by this fact.

This is because the Bundesliga giants have learned that they had to offer £43m to open talks but it then increased to £50m in order to actually buy him.

It’s then added that Olise is yet to be cleared for a medical and Palace is happy to wait for the full figure and are under no pressure to let him leave Selhurst Park for a reduced fee.

Could Michael Olise to Bayern fall through?

The chances of Olise to Bayern actually falling through are very slim with just £7m between the two clubs if Nixon is correct.

However, what this will do is lay a benchmark for clubs who are interested in signing either Eze or Marc Guehi, so that Palace won’t be pressured into selling for cheap.

All roads seem to suggest this deal will be done, but Palace aren’t making it easy just as they should and for this, Steve Parish deserves some serious praise.

Although £50m is still ridiculously cheap to sell Olise for, but there’s no avoiding that now.
