RAM TRX HAVOC EDITION IS A BIG YELLOW CALAMITY

Ram Trucks might be readying a big reveal for its upcoming EV, but that doesn’t mean that the Stellantis truck branch has forgotten about its high-octane halo product. That’s the Ram 1500 TRX, for those that don’t know. All 702 supercharged horses of it. And every model year since its launch in 2020, the Ram TRX has seen a collectable special edition join its lineup. First it was the Launch Edition, then the Ignition Edition, then Sandblast Edition – each with their own unique color. And just before we ring in the new year, we bear witness to the 2023 Ram TRX Havoc Edition.

Exclusively in Baja Yellow, the Ram 1500 TRX Havoc Edition seems to take inspiration from the TRX Gold Shot Mopar Accessories Concept that was at the 2022 SEMA Show. The limited-edition trim level takes the TRX Level 2 Equipment Group, adds the Baja Yellow exterior and graphics, 18-inch all black beadlock-capable wheels, dual pane panoramic sunroof, spray-in bedliner, cargo tie-downs, bed step and an LED cab-mounted brake light. The interior features what Ram is calling Prowler Yellow accent stitching, an embroidered “TRX” seat back logo, unique carbon fiber accents, a leather and carbon fiber flat–bottom steering wheel, unique center console badge, Head-up Display and a driver’s screen that integrates the Ram TRX in Baja Yellow as a nice detail. Safety features include adaptive cruise control, Lane Keep Assist and pedestrian emergency braking.

Mechanically, the 2023 Ram TRX Havoc Edition remains unchanged, highlighted by the supercharged Hemi V8 engine, otherwise known as the Hellcat. As for the price, the 2023 Ram 1500 TRX Havoc Edition carries an MSRP of $104,550, plus $1,895 destination. It’s very much Ford F-150 Raptor R money, and it’s very much meant to compete with exactly that.

The new Ram TRX Havoc Edition will go on sale early in the first quarter of 2023.
