‘I will cry’… Tottenham fans react after what hearing the news the club have just announced

Tottenham Hotspur fans have now been reacting to the new which has just emerged out of the club.

Ange Postecoglou has not even been in north London for a full season, but he already has his side battling for a top four finish.

But the club are already putting plans in place for the summer with a number of recent announcements being made.

What news Spurs have just announced

On Wednesday, the club announced they would be playing a pre-season friendly against Bayern Munich.

The game will take place at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on Saturday 10 August.

It is a meeting which will see two former Spurs players return to N17 in Harry Kane and Eric Dier – the latter leaving permanently at the end of the season.

And it seems the potential return of the club’s all time record goalscorer has a number of Spurs fans excited with many taking to social media to react.

What Ben Davies said about Harry Kane recently

It has not quite been the move to Munich which Kane may have hoped for with their Bundesliga crown slipping.

With just a matter of games to go, Bayer Leverkusen remain top of the table having gone unbeaten so far in the league.

And with a staggering 10 point deficit, the Champions League looks like Bayern’s only real opportunity at a trophy this season.

Returning to his boyhood club will see Kane meet up with a number of familiar faces having only left last summer.

Wales captain Ben Davies has recently been speaking about what he saw in the striker when he was first coming into the starting XI.

He said: “It was pretty crazy because when I arrived there were a few times when Harry wasn’t even in the squad for games but what you saw in training was he was hungry. You could see he was an incredible finisher, that was the biggest thing that stands out.

“He would get the ball and you’d play a small sided game and every single game he would score three or four goals. Maybe his link up play wasn’t there or his passing wasn’t there, but he was so driven that when I get the ball it’s going in the net and you could see it over, and over and over.”

Having left before the season begun, Kane never really had the opportunity to say a proper goodbye to the Spurs fans.

So it will be interesting to see if anything is made of that on the day; perhaps Kane will take the microphone with a message to the fans.

After all, this is the club where he spent the large majority of his football career from a small boy.
