What Ollie Watkins said about Tottenham following Aston Villa’s top four slip up on Saturday

Aston Villa striker Ollie Watkins has been speaking about Tottenham Hotspur following Aston Villa’s latest draw on Saturday.

The race for the Champions League is really beginning to heat up now with Unai Emery’s side only having six games remianing in the league.

Ange Postecoglou‘s side take to the pitch later today when they host Nottingham Forest at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium.

With two games in hand on Villa, Tottenham have a three point deficit to make up on their top four rivals with a win against Nuno Espirito Santo’s side taking them into fourth spot.

Although the Lilywhites have two games in hand, their recent form has been turbulent since their emphatic victory at Villa Park.

Brennan Johnson‘s goal on Tuesday night against West Ham was not enough to earn Spurs all three points.

The Welshman is going into today’s game against his former side in fine form which has earned him praise from one of Tottenham’s greatest ever players.

And Spurs will need their top players playing at their best following Forest’s impressive display on Tuesday night against a Fulham side who tore Spurs apart just weeks ago.

But Spurs have staggered along over recent weeks after their victory against Villa on their own soil.
