'All the way': Peter Crouch has now predicted the result of Manchester United vs Arsenal this Sunday

Peter Crouch has now shared his prediction for the Premier League clash between Manchester United and Arsenal at Old Trafford on Sunday.

Erik ten Hag and Mikel Arteta will be desperate to secure three points for very different reasons.

The Dutchman needs a result to life the mood around Old Trafford after Monday’s embarrassing 4-0 defeat to Crystal Palace, while the Spaniard must win to keep the pressure on Manchester City in the title race.

Ahead of the showpiece event between Manchester United and Arsenal on Sunday, Peter Crouch has shared his prediction…

Peter Crouch predicts Manchester United vs Arsenal

Unsurprisingly, the 43-year-old is backing the Gunners to pile more misery on the Red Devils.

Speaking on That Peter Crouch Podcast, he said: “The odds are saying Arsenal all the way. They won 3-1 in the previous encounter, two injury time goals from (Declan) Rice and (Gabriel) Jesus won it. That’s the score I am going with again. 3-1 to Arsenal.”

In all honestly, we would be shocked if Arsenal fail to win.

Manchester United delivered one of their worst performances in recent Premier League history at Selhurst Park on Monday, and have since lost Mason Mount to injury as well.

Therefore – despite Ten Hag making a surprise change to training at Carrington this week, to deal with the threat of Arsenal – we expect Arteta’s side to reign supreme.

Gunners have the backing of many

Crouch is not the only pundit backing Arsenal to win.

Roy Keane also expects the north Londoners to secure all three points, going for a 2-1 win when speaking on Stick to Football.

Furthermore, Gary Neville said he thinks Arsenal “should” win, but added that the “madness” of Old Trafford could also see a 2-2 draw occur.

Arsenal are – clearly – overriding favourites, so Arteta must ensure he doesn’t allow the pressure of expectation to get to his players on Sunday.
