Arsenal fans have all been left saying the same thing about Mikey Moore after his display for England U17s

Arsenal fans have been left in agreement about Tottenham Hotspur’s Mikey Moore following his latest display for England U17s.

It has been a whirlwind past few weeks for the young Tottenham forward who only made his senior debut against Manchester City.

Mikey Moore then came on in the final game of the season against Sheffield United before heading off to the U17s Euros this summer.

A summer of change has been promised at Tottenham by Ange Postecoglou and that could well see the 16-year-old handed more opportunities in the first team.

Having impressed Postecoglou during training, Moore has now gone on to announce himself during the international tournament with England.

And it seems it is not just Tottenham fans who have been left impressed with what he has been doing for England over the last week or so.

What Arsenal fans have been left saying about Mikey Moore

Young Mikey Moore was supposed to jet off to Melbourne, Australia with Tottenham but Postecoglou decided playing meaningful football with England would be better for the 16-year-old.

It is a decision which is certainly paying off with the forward seriously impressing as England made it to the quarter-finals before being knocked out on penalties.

The Spurs youngster was one of the standout performers for England as the Spanish media even praised Moore for his display against their side.

Moore was able to end the tournament having scored four times and provided one assist in the four games played for the Three Lions.

On Thursday night, against Italy, Moore provided a stunning assist for Arsenal’s Ethan Nwaneri who opened the scoring.

As the footage of the goal emerged on X, a number of Arsenal fans were left praising the Spurs youngster for his contribution to the goal.

One Arsenal fan was clearly impressed with Moore, saying, ‘Mikey Moore, quality footballer’. Whilst another simply added, ‘Mikey Moore tho’.

Not all were aware of who Moore was, however, with one asking, ‘Who got the assist he looks mustard’. And another followed on similarly, saying, ‘Awesome! Who’s the kid who ran through everyone?’

Clearly, it was hard to admit for some just how exciting of a talent Moore is, as one said, ‘Moore is a good talent (throws up in mouth)’. Another also wondered just who provided the assist, asking, ‘Who is that lad with the carry from deep’.

What is next for Mikey Moore at Tottenham?

After a busy season with the U18s, the 16-year-old will now be given some time to rest before returning to Hotspur Way for the pre-season efforts.

Moore’s path into the first team on a regular basis may still be a few years off with the likes of Heung-min Son and Timo Werner ahead of him in the pecking order.

However, he may well be provided an opportunity to impress Postecoglou this summer by being offered a spot in their squad which will tour Japan and South Korea this summer.

Postecoglou is a big fan of Moore with Spurs’ academy director Simon Davies admitting as much in a recent interview.

“It’s encouraging that the manager sees something in Mikey but it is just potential at the moment,” Davies said.
