James Maddison sends wordless message to £60m Tottenham target after training with him

Tottenham Hotspur midfielder James Maddison has issued a message to one of the club’s reported transfer targets for the summer window.

Although the market is not yet officially open, Ange Postecoglou has already sealed Tottenham‘s first piece of business with the loan signing of Timo Werner.

More will follow with Postecoglou admitting he is hoping to see a number of forwards added to his squad this summer.

There has already been a number of players linked with a potential move to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as Spurs target a number of areas across the frontline.

A new striker is being targeted by Spurs this summer with Tottenham open to offers for Richarlison amid interest from Saudi Arabia.

And the club are also said to hold an interest in bringing in more than just Werner to bolster their options out wide.

With the international sides meeting ahead of this summer’s Euros, James Maddison has reunited with a player who is being strongly linked with a move to N17.

James Maddison sends message to £60m Tottenham transfer target

Having Europa League football return to north London for next season will provide Daniel Levy with some extra revenue to work with this summer.

The club are already in a strong financial position with Tottenham announcing they had made over £500m in revenue in their latest financial report.

That could well see Tottenham spend big this summer and one of their targets who could demand a high fee to see Crystal Palace part with him is Eberechi Eze.

It is believed Tottenham hold an interest in Eze this summer, but it could require a fee in the region of £60m to see him depart Selhurst Park.

The provisional England squad met up ahead of this summer’s Euros earlier in the week and Maddison took no time in catching up with Eze.

Eze has only made two appearances for the England senior side under Gareth Southgate, but he has clearly impressed the England manager with his performances this season.

Someone else who has been impressed is Maddison as the 27-year-old posted an image of the pair on his Instagram account with the caption of a love face and praying emoji.

With the 25-year-old heavily linked with a potential move to Hotspur Way this summer, Spurs fans may well be under the impression Maddison is trying to work his magic ahead of the window opening.

Tottenham have invited Eberechi Eze’s family to the stadium

Eze is a client of the CAA Base agency who has extremely strong links to Tottenham with several players working with them.

In the latter stages of the season, Eze’s family were even invited to the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium as special guests to watch the North London Derby.

The specifics of the invite are not quite known, but with Tottenham believed to be interested in the Palace player, perhaps there is something to be looked into.

What an addition Eze could be for Spurs if they are able to add him to their frontline after adding 11 goals and four assists for a Palace side who only really got going once Oliver Glasner arrived.

It will take big money for the Eagles to part ways with Eze this summer, but he is a player who would certainly bolster Tottenham’s squad depth ahead of a much busier campaign.
