Arsenal have a busy summer ahead of they as Mikel Arteta and Edu look to add the finishing touches to their squad.
The Gunners have made great progress in the past few years and took the Premier League title battle to the final day of the 2023/24 season.
However, Arsenal sadly fell short for the second year in a row, so they’ll be eager to bolster their ranks to ensure they can go all the way next year.
The Gunners lacked an out-and-out No. 9 last year, and there were numerous games where such a player would’ve made a big difference regarding the result.
In recent days, Arsenal have been heavily linked with an “unbelievable” striker and speculation is starting to intensify.
The player in question is RB Leipzig’s Benjamin Sesko and, according to CaughtOffside, the Gunners are making good progress in pursuit of his signature.
The report claims negotiations are advancing quickly and well between Arsenal and Leipzig, even though Sesko’s club isn’t willing to lower their price.
Leipzig are apparently adamant on the release clause of €65million (£55.5million), what they consider to be the right valuation.
However, it’s understood that Arsenal also believe it to be a fair price, and so, a new round of contacts is on the cards to discuss the payment terms of the clause further.
Furthermore, the Gunners know that Sesko likes the idea of joining them, so personal terms aren’t expected to be an issue, added the report.

Sesko is an ‘incredible‘ striker who has been impressing in a tough league and, at just 21 years of age, he’s still at the start of his career and should improve even more.
Let’s hope that we get more concrete reports – or maybe even an “here we go” – between Arsenal and Sesko in the coming days. He’d be a top signing for the Gunners.
