Report: Crystal Palace now confident of pulling off another signing after Chadi Riad and Daichi Kamada deals

The transfer window opens in two weeks and already Crystal Palace have one deal done, another on the way and now a third in the works.

After the rampant end to the 2023/24 campaign, the summer has begun in a similar fashion for Crystal Palace, with Dougie Freedman hard at work after rejecting a move to Newcastle.

For Oliver Glasner, there will be a long list of requirements which he wants to see arrive this summer and he’ll be delighted with the pair of players who are exactly what he needs.

Chadi Riad is awaiting his move to become official, after passing his medical on Wednesday which will see him become a £14m arrival and the first of Glasner’s era.

Following Riad, it’s expected that Daichi Kamada will join, as Fabrizio Romano stated that Palace is closing in on the Japanese midfielder.

Now, it’s been reported that there is potentially a third to come.

How Crystal Palace are feeling about the Jobe Bellingham move

As Palace look to complete the first two signings of the summer, there could actually be a third on his way as well as Palace are confident a deal can be done.

The Palace confidence comes in relation to Jobe Bellingham, who was first linked on Thursday by Fabrizio Romano in an exclusive which explained that the 18-year-old is a priority.

Now, The Mirror has reported how the Eagles are thinking about the chances of securing Bellingham from Sunderland this summer.

The article explains that Palace are confident of beating Brentford to the signing of the talented brother of Jude Bellingham.

This would be the third early addition to Glasner’s team, an addition which would be very exciting and right up Freedman’s alley.

Signing Bellingham and Kamada likely means a big sale is needed

Both Bellingham and Kamada arriving at Selhurst Park this summer, likely guarantees that one of Michael Olise or Eberechi Eze will be departing.

This is because it’s two players arriving who are likely to occupy the number 10 positions which Eze and Olise currently do.

While Bellingham probably arrives as one for the future who’d play more of a squad role initially, Kamada is a player Glasner loves and won’t be coming to sit on the bench, which suggests he could be a straightforward replacement.

The good news is, the pair of potential arrivals would be a fraction of any fee received for one of the possible big-money sales.

This would give Palace scope to go and strengthen elsewhere with the money.
